American music paragon DVS1 returns to Blitz not only as part of the 30-year anniversary tour of his label HUSH, but for a dedicated evening presenting Hush vs Mistress, the second imprint he runs. His widely recognized and often influential stance on dance music culture are tastemaking, his musical versatility is yet underrated. The upcoming label night highlights the two imprints’ polarity: from deep and purist Techno on one hand to House and leftfield excursions of dance music on the other.
Founded as a party series in his native Minneapolis, HUSH soon evolved into a multifaceted undertaking, spanning a label, soundsystem, music studio and more – tonight it takes the reins of the BLITZ Floor. Besides Zak Khutoretsky himself and Blitz resident Muallem, GiGi FM and RROSE join the line-up. GiGi FM, a trained dancer with wide-ranging musical and spiritual influences, plays Techno marked by vivid textures and kinetic, colourful rhythms. RROSE’s live performances draw on hypnotic Techno, experimental electronics and sound-art sensibilities in monochrome colours.
> Touching all corners of the dancefloor < and setting the tone on our PLUS floor is Mistress, which started off featuring House-orientated shades of dance music but has since become a platform for wide-ranging musical approaches. Showcasing its first and latest releases are Borrowed Identity and Z.I.P.P.O, spanning soothing House from 2013 to introspective Electro in 2025.
