It feels only fitting to welcome Ignez, Dutch artist and Eerste Communie resident, back to our floor just days after the series’ 10th anniversary celebrations at Blitz Club, this time with a live set. Growing up near the north coast of the Netherlands, he has developed a sound shaped as much by landscape as by the dancefloor. The result? Organic, mesmerising techno moving between raw percussion and hi-fidelity detail. His work has found a home on his own Somov Records as well as Kr!z’s Token Records.
He’s joined by Quelza, the Paris-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer, who debuted on Dekmantel’s imprint with Pensa Poetico in 2025: a fractured, IDM-inflected work. “I created it with no structural restrictions in mind, purely for the joy of making music without rules,” he said of the EP. His follow-up on Ostgut Ton, Above The Clouds I Finally Found Peace, continues (t)his path away from purely club-focused releases, while his DJ sets bridge both worlds with ease.
Our resident and Ilian Tape affiliate Stenny is another artist navigating a wide spectrum of musical sensibilities, from dancefloor-focused EPs to immersive long-form listening on his albums, to DJ sets and audiovisual live performances, all shaped by a penchant for broken beats and IDM textures.
Rounding out the bill is Philippa Pacho. Raised in Stockholm, she found her way into techno through the city’s underground of warehouse raves and illegal gatherings. Co-running positivesource with Blue Hour alongside her own Phorum Records, she aims for what she describes as “raw, deep, textured-leaning music that takes the mind somewhere.”
