Daniel Bell is a trailblazer of the minimal sound from it’s first days: the American DJ and producer has been exploring the genre since the early ’90s, initially drawing from Chicago house and avant-garde minimalism and it’s paragons Philip Glass and Steve Reich. Over the decades, Bell has witnessed plenty of revivals come and go while remaining steadfast in his approach to DJing, production, and influential work behind the scenes.
From his aliases DBX and Cybersonik (alongside Richie Hawtin), to his own 7th City Distribution, the imprints Accelerate and Elevate, and his foundational role in launching Shake’s Frictional and Dopplereffekt’s Dataphysix labels, Bell’s work truly forms a microcosm of its own.



He is joined by PLO Man, the charmingly publicity-averse figure behind Acting Press and one-third of SnPLO. While the imprint was once loosely associated with the outsider house of the mid-2010s, the label now occupies a sweet spot within today’s minimal (house) landscape, with a distinctly analogue focus. PLO Man’s own selections follow suit, drifting through minimal, dub, and deep waters. Yamour, our resident, similarly lets the music speak - such as tonight’s curation! - weaving Detroit, Chicago and dub-informed narratives on wax with ease, while Vlada’s austere yet enchanting take on mesmerising minimal house and techno round out the programme.

In recent years, she’s been expanding her sonic palette with two series dedicated to sensual sounds & elusive details between the beats.
